Patient Eligibility Guidelines
AmeriCare is a certified Medicare agency. This means our services are covered completely for patients who meet all three of the following criteria:
- Must be homebound.
- Must require skilled care.
- Must have a physician’s order for home health care services.
Your physician can refer you to us by calling our office or writing a referral in the hospital prior to discharge. If you feel you need home health care, call us directly or contact your physician’s office. Once a referral is received, you will be contacted directly to schedule services.

What To Know About Insurance
If you do not have Medicare, our services are also available on a private pay basis. Please review the list of accepted commercial insurances below. Some private insurance and Medicare Advantage plans not included here may also pay for care. Contact us and one of our helpful team members will be happy to provide more information upon request.

At your request, AmeriCare will attempt to negotiate with insurance companies who are not on the list below. This list may change at any time, according to pre-scheduled contract renewal dates.
